These weekly classes are the ideal way to improve both your meditation skills and your knowledge of the Buddhist approach to life. Each class consists of a guided breathing meditation, a talk by the Teacher on an aspect of Buddhist philosophy and a guided meditation at the end (each week is a different topic). There is also an opportunity to ask any questions that you may have about the topic or about meditation.

Meditation is becoming increasingly recognized as an effective means to reduce stress and improve our quality of life, however it also has much deeper and far-reaching benefits that have been understood by Buddhist practitioners for thousands of years. During this course, be guided by an experienced practitioner through several mediations that can be reproduced at home, learn how to improve mindfulness and concentration; as well as how to set up a regular meditation practice.
This course is suitable for everyone from complete beginners to experienced meditators.
Gen Kelsang Tsalden is a fully ordained Australian Buddhist nun who has practised Kadampa Buddhism for over 16 years, training in Sydney and the UK. With over 12 years experience as a Resident Teacher her clear, inspiring teachings and gentle manner make Buddhist wisdom accessible to all.

WHAT TO EXPECT
Hand sanitiser will be provided at the door as you arrive.
You will be greeted by our volunteers to register you for the class. We will have a list of the bookings so there is no need to print out your confirmation.
There will be a selection of books and meditation CD’s to browse or purchase, before or after the meditation class (EFT ONLY)
The meditation will be done in chairs and they will be set up according to social distancing standards.
The class will begin at 7.30pm and end at 8.45pm.
