Blackwood In-Person Class
BLACKWOOD • MONDAYS • 7.30-8.45PM • $14 PER CLASS • MAXIMUM 25 PEOPLE PER CLASS
ABOUT THE CLASSES
These weekly classes are the ideal way to improve both your meditation skills and your knowledge of the Buddhist approach to life. Each class consists of a guided breathing meditation, a talk by the Teacher on an aspect of Buddhist philosophy and a guided meditation at the end (each week is a different topic). There is also an opportunity to ask any questions that you may have about the topic or about meditation.
If we train in meditation our mind will gradually become more and more peaceful and we shall experience purer and purer forms of happiness. Eventually we shall be able to stay happy all the time, even in the most difficult circumstances.
~ Ven. Geshe Kelsang Gyasto
CURRENT COURSE: FEARLESS
We suffer from so many different fears and worries in our life, and these sufferings can feel like they are holding us back in so many ways. Some fears we need but most are “unhealthy” fears that don’t serve us at all. Through Buddha’s teachings we can learn the inner source of all our fears, and through developing a special wisdom, we can overcome them forever.
This course is suitable for everyone from complete beginners to experienced meditators.
Gen Kelsang Tsalden is a fully ordained Australian Buddhist nun who has practised Kadampa Buddhism for over 16 years, training in Sydney and the UK. With over 12 years experience as a Resident Teacher her clear, inspiring teachings and gentle manner make Buddhist wisdom accessible to all.
