It is impossible to go through our life without feeling harmed or insulted by others. If we have minds of patience, love and compassion, however, we are able to keep a peaceful mind in these situations, without getting angry or upset. We can free our mind from resentment, which only causes us pain, and we can gain the freedom to let go and move on with our life.

At this half-day workshop Gen Tsalden will explain some essential Buddhist meditations for developing these strong, courageous minds – as well as the art of forgiving ourself. Everyone is welcome.


Learn to Meditate

Through the practice of meditation we can develop and maintain a peaceful mind all the time. If our mind is peaceful all the time, we will be happy all the time. So, if we really wish for ourself and others to be happy all the time we must learn to practise meditation.

At this workshop Gen Tsalden will explain how to meditate and how to integrate our practice of meditation into our daily life. Through doing this we can reduce our stress, experience a calm, spacious feeling in the mind, and find many of our usual problems falling away. We will naturally feel warm and well-disposed towards other people, and our relationships with others will gradually improve.


Gen Kelsang Tsalden

Gen Kelsang Tsalden is the Resident Teacher of Kadampa Meditation Centre Adelaide. She is a fully ordained Australian Buddhist nun who has practised Kadampa Buddhism for over 18 years, training in Sydney and the UK. With 14 years experience as a Resident Teacher her clear, inspiring teachings and gentle manner make Buddhist wisdom accessible to all.



Hand sanitiser will be provided at the door as you arrive. Masks are not required, however please feel free to wear one if you feel more comfortable.

You will be greeted by our volunteers to register you for the workshop. We will have a list of the bookings so there is no need to print out your confirmation. 

There will be a selection of books and meditation CD’s to browse or purchase in the breaks.

The meditation will be done in chairs and they will be set up according to social distancing standards. 

The class will begin at 10am and end at 1pm.
