Being Alone without Loneliness
FULLARTON • SUNDAY 21 AUG • 10AM-1PM • $40 PP
Even if we have family, friends, and other good conditions, we can still feel isolated, misunderstood or lonely; yearning to feel a deeper sense of connection with others. By relying upon Buddhist teachings and meditations, we can heal our feelings of loneliness by recognizing that the perception of ourselves as separate from others is an illusion. In truth, we are all naturally and profoundly interconnected. Through gaining this understanding a natural closeness and authentic love for others will arise even when we find ourselves at times physically alone.
Gen Kelsang Tsalden is the Resident Teacher of Kadampa Meditation Centre Adelaide. She is a fully ordained Australian Buddhist nun who has practised Kadampa Buddhism for over 18 years, training in Sydney and the UK. With 14 years experience as a Resident Teacher her clear, inspiring teachings and gentle manner make Buddhist wisdom accessible to all.
