Learn to Meditate

Learn how to develop a qualified meditation practice and how to integrate it into daily life. If we train in meditation our mind will become peaceful and clear and we will come to enjoy a purer form of happiness. 

Gradually we will experience an inner space and clarity that enables us to control our mind regardless of external circumstances. 

This course is suitable for both beginners and those with meditation experience.

The course fee of $50 per person includes morning tea.


Blessing Empowerment of Avalokiteshvara

Avalokiteshvara is an enlightened being who is the manifestation of the compassion of all Buddhas. The empowerment is a guided meditation through which we can connect to Avalokiteshvara’s enlightened mind. By receiving his inspiring blessings we can swiftly actualise our own potential for great compassion. 

Everyone is welcome. 

The course fee of $65 per person includes morning tea (Centre Members are free). Lunch will no longer be served; this change is reflected in the reduced cost of the event.

Empowerment: 9:30am-11:00am
Teaching: 11:30am-12:30pm
Powa practice: 1:30pm-2:30pm

Embracing Change

Change is inevitable and unavoidable–it is happening all the time. With wisdom, we can embrace change peacefully, understanding there was never an option to hold on to anything even for a moment.

The Teacher

Kelsang Monlam is the Resident Teacher of Kadampa Meditation Centre Adelaide and has been teaching meditation and buddhism since 2008. Monlam presents Buddha’s teachings in a light and practical manner, and inspires us through example to incorporate Buddha’s teachings into our daily life.

VENUE: Fullarton Park Community Centre, 411 Fullarton Rd

What to Expect

Hand sanitiser will be provided at the door as you arrive. Masks are not required, however please feel free to wear one if you feel more comfortable.

You will be greeted by our volunteers to register you for the workshop. We will have a list of the bookings so there is no need to print out your confirmation. 

There will be a selection of books, meditation CDs and audio books to browse or purchase in the breaks.

Everyone will sit in chairs for the sessions. The chairs will be set up according to social distancing standards.

Payment options: You can pay securely through our Humanitix account using your credit card or PayPal account. If neither of those options appeal to you, please feel free to come along on the day of the workshop and pay at the door. We accept cash OR card on the day.
